Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival covers four islands. If it is too rushed to visit all four islands in one day, you can visit three islands with Island Hopping Kaito Experience tickets! The following is a suggested route for the 3 islands enjoyable journey

Suggested Route
  1. Take Route A kaito at 10:15 from Sai Kung to Yim Tin Tsai (around 20 minutes kaito ride)
  2. Visit Yim Tin Tsai to view some of the artworks and attractions (1 hour)
  3. Take Route A kaito at 11:35 from Yim Tin Tsai to Sharp Island (around 15 minutes kaito ride)
  4. Visit Sharp Island to view the artworks and attractions (1 hour)
  5. Take Route A kaito at 12:50 from Sharp Island back to Sai Kung (around 20 minutes kaito ride)
  6. Lunch at Sai Kung Town (40 minutes)
  7. Take Route B kaito at 14:30 from Sai Kung to Kau Sai Village/High Island (around 30-60 minutes kaito ride). You may get on board using Octopus card
  8. Visit Kau Sai Village/High Island, view the artworks and attractions (1.5-2 hours)
  9. Take Route B kaito at 17:00/17:30 from Kau Sai Village/High Island back to Sai Kung (around 45-60 minutes kaito ride)
  10. Back to Sai Kung to visit the artwork located at Sai Kung Promenade (15 minutes)

Time required: around 8 hours

Remarks:
– This route needs to go along with the Route A Island Hopping Kaito Experience tickets, please purchase the ticket online in advance
– This route takes more time and includes a longer walk. Visitors should wear suitable clothing and bring along sufficient water and food
– The tombolo at Sharp Island is only accessible when the tidal level is lower than 1.4 metres. Don’t forget to check on the day tidal levels before crossing the tombolo, observe the safety guidelines and pay attention to the return time. – The above is only a suggested route, visitors can adjust the itinerary according to their own ability or needs

Access to Yim Tin Tsai/Sharp Island/Kau Sai Chau(Kau Sai Village)/High Island

Access to Yim Tin Tsai/Sharp Island

The kaito ferries travelling to Yim Tin Tsai/Sharp Island are operated by different kaito operators. Visitors may go to the operators’ counters located along the Sai Kung Pier promenade to purchase kaito tickets on-site (usually round-trip tickets will be sold but no single trip tickets).

During the Festival period, visitors can pre-purchase the Festival exclusive Island Hopping Kaito Experience (Route A) tickets on the Festival website.

Access to Kau Sai Chau(Kau Sai Village)/High Island

The kaito ferries travelling to Kau Sai Chau (Kau Sai Village)/High Island are operated by Tsui Wah Ferry. Those are the regular kaito ferry services licensed by the Transport Department. The single-trip fare is HK$65 (adult or children) and HK$2 for elderly using JoyYou Card and eligible persons with disabilities. Visitors may pay the fare by using octopus card or cash (no change) when boarding the ferry.

During the Festival period, visitors can pre-purchase the Festival Exclusive Island Hopping Kaito Experience (Route B) tickets at a discounted price on our website, which will include 3 single trips.
