There are 5 and 7 artworks displayed at Kau Sai Chau(Kau Sai Village) and High Island respectively in the Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival 2024. You can take the island hopping kaito to visit both islands in one day.

Suggested Route
  1. From Sai Kung to Kau Sai Village (around 30 minutes kaito ride) - may take the island hopping kaito departing from Sai Kung Pier to Kau Sai Village Pier at 09:30 or 11:30
  2. Visit Kau Sai Village, enjoy the artworks and attractions, rest at Kau Sai Village (2 hours)
  3. Head to High Island (around 30 minutes kaito ride) - may take the island hopping kaito departing from Kau Sai Village Pier to High Island Pier at 12:00 or 15:00
  4. Arrive Leung Shuen Wan Pier in High Island. Walk to Pak A Village and return, then walk to Tung A Village and Sha Kiu Village to enjoy the artworks and attractions along the way (2.5 hours)
  5. Return to Leung Shuen Wan Pier in front of Tin Hau Temple (30 minutes)
  6. Return to Sai Kung (around 45 minutes kaito ride) - may take 15:30 (via Kau Sai Chau) or 17:00 kaito back to Sai Kung
  7. Back to Sai Kung to visit the artwork located at Sai Kung Promenade (15 minutes)

Time required: around 7 hours

Remarks:
– Stairway up/down at part of the road in High Island and the visiting area is large, visitors should wear suitable clothing and bring along sufficient water
– The above is only a suggested route, visitors can adjust the itinerary according to their own ability or needs

[This route will visit High Island first, only applied to kaito on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays

  1. From Sai Kung to High Island (around 45 minutes kaito ride) - may take the island hopping kaito departing from Sai Kung Pier to Leung Shuen Wan Pier at 09:00 or 11:00
  2. Arrive Leung Shuen Wan Pier at High Island. Walk to Pak A Village and return, then walk to Tung A Village and Sha Kiu Village to enjoy the artworks and attractions along the way (2.5 hours)
  3. Return to Leung Shuen Wan Pier in front of Tin Hau Temple (30 minutes)
  4. Head to Kau Sai Chau (around 30 minutes kaito ride) - may take the island hopping kaito departing from Leung Shuen Wan Pier to Kau Sai Village Pier at 11:45 or 12:30 or 15:30
  5. Visit Kau Sai Village, enjoy the artworks and attractions, rest at Kau Sai Village (2 hours)
  6. Return to Sai Kung (around 30 minutes kaito ride) - may take 16:00 or 17:00 kaito back to Sai Kung
  7. Back to Sai Kung to visit the artwork located at Sai Kung Promenade (15 minutes)

Time required: around 7 hours

Access to Yim Tin Tsai/Sharp Island/Kau Sai Chau(Kau Sai Village)/High Island

Access to Yim Tin Tsai/Sharp Island

The kaito ferries travelling to Yim Tin Tsai/Sharp Island are operated by different kaito operators. Visitors may go to the operators’ counters located along the Sai Kung Pier promenade to purchase kaito tickets on-site (usually round-trip tickets will be sold but no single trip tickets).

During the Festival period, visitors can pre-purchase the Festival exclusive Island Hopping Kaito Experience (Route A) tickets on the Festival website.

Access to Kau Sai Chau(Kau Sai Village)/High Island

The kaito ferries travelling to Kau Sai Chau (Kau Sai Village)/High Island are operated by Tsui Wah Ferry. Those are the regular kaito ferry services licensed by the Transport Department. The single-trip fare is HK$65 (adult or children) and HK$2 for elderly using JoyYou Card and eligible persons with disabilities. Visitors may pay the fare by using octopus card or cash (no change) when boarding the ferry.

During the Festival period, visitors can pre-purchase the Festival Exclusive Island Hopping Kaito Experience (Route B) tickets at a discounted price on our website, which will include 3 single trips.
