To welcome tourists to the Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival (SKHAF), tourists can enjoy free island hopping kaito rides to visit Yim Tin Tsai/Sharp Island or Kau Sai Chau/High Island from 9 December 2024 to 12 January 2025.
From 5 December, tourists can register online on SKHAF website to get a free island hopping kaito ticket to visit the islands so as to have a deeper understanding of the culture and history of the islands through the artworks. Visitors can also enjoy the magnificent nature to have a healing journey for their soul and body. Tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis while stocks last.
The details are as follows:
Registration Period: 5 December 2024 – 9 January 2025
Tickets Available Dates: 9 December 2024 – 12 January 2025 (Tourists must select a date which is at least 3 days prior to the day of visit to allow sufficient time for processing)
Route Options:
– (Route A) Sai Kung – Yim Tin Tsai – Sharp Island
– (Route B) Sai Kung – Kau Sai Chau – High Island
Eligibility: The Mainland and overseas tourists coming to Hong Kong with valid travelling documents
Registration Method: Fill in the registration form. After reviewing the information, the SKHAF team will send the electronic kaito redemption QR code to the tourists by email.
Redemption of Tickets: During the day of visit, the tourists will need to go to the Arts Festival Information Kiosk located at Sai Kung Pier at least 30 minutes before the selected kaito time and present the electronic redemption voucher’s QR code and the true copy of the travel document. After verification of the identity on site by the staff, the visitor will get a physical kaito ticket accordingly.
Terms & Conditions
– Each tourist may only choose either Route A or Route B kaito tickets and can only redeem free kaito ticket once. Tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis while stocks last.
– Each tourist should present a valid travel document and the electronic kaito ticket redemption QR code (attached in the confirmation email) for redemption of the ticket. After verification by the staff on site, the tourist will be provided with a physical kaito ticket.
– Tourists must register using their English full name as used in his/her travel document for verification. If the names are different, the staff on site reserves the right not to give the physical kaito ticket to the tourist. Please be reminded to check and confirm the tourist’s English full name is the exactly the same as that on the travel document before you submit the registration form.
– The capacity of each boat is limited. Tourists may not be able to get on their selected kaito time. If the selected kaito is full, the staff will arrange the tourists to take the next available kaito of the same route accordingly.
– Subject to maintenance, repairment, inclement weather, special events or in the events of force majeure, the opening hours of the Festival may be changed and the Festival may be closed and all related programmes/tours may be suspended without prior notice. – Should there be any disputes arising, the decision of the Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival shall be final and binding.
– If there is any inconsistency or ambiguity between the Chinese and English versions, the English version shall prevail.
The online registration will be open from 2 Nov (Wed) 10am on a fortnightly basis, for the coming 2-4 weeks upon the system’s update. The registration schedule is as follows:
