High Island Artwork – “Dance with the Wind at Kwong Wo Yuen” Video Introduction

“Dance with the Wind at Kwong Wo Yuen” includes the restoration of the signboard of Kwong Wo Yuen and also the flags that demonstrate the traditions of Tung A Village. Master Fung Wai Keung made reference to the original sign’s style and characteristics, and tried to mimic the font style and restore the lost parts of the sign. Stefan Tsui applied 3D software to convert the font into a three-dimensional form, and used concrete to recreate the 22-word long signboard. The flags of Aoyu and Qilin displayed the characteristics of Tung A villagers on their respect to Chinese mythical culture and nature.

Registration Information

The online registration will be open from 2 Nov (Wed) 10am on a fortnightly basis, for the coming 2-4 weeks upon the system’s update. The registration schedule is as follows:

*Public may register for the programmes and guided tours that are still available for booking from the previous period. Quotas are limited and registration is open on a first-come-first-served basis. For programmes/guided tours that are already full, a waiting list with 20 quotas is available for signing up. If any successful registrants withdraw from the event, notification will be sent to registrants on the waiting list in their order of registration. They will need to confirm the registration within 24 hours upon receipt of the notification to get the place.
