Listen! Can you hear the engine sound of ferries, the laughter from visitors and the shouts of hawkers and kaito operators at the busy Sai Kung Pier? During holidays, there are often buskers and other performers adding different sounds to this place. When “surround sound island” appears, there may be some more voices and colours to the soundscape here. Let’s look forward to listening and enjoying the special “surround sound island” performance!
Performer’s Introduction:
The Contemporary A Cappella Society of Hong Kong and Macau is an officially registered non-profit organisation. Since its establishment, the Society has been committed to promoting a cappella singing through performances and educational programmes.
Ani-Singers HK
Ani-Singers HK was founded in early 2020 with the mission of promoting ACG (animation, comics, and games) derivative music through a cappella singing. The group comprises passionate young individuals who enjoy Ani-songs, embrace the challenges of a cappella, and are eager to adapt various musical pieces to present a diverse range of ACG songs to their audience.
Rm A Vocal Band
Meet Rm A Vocal Band. Brought together by the much-beloved Fountain Vocal Tribe, the 6 members have since united their voices into a unique blend of harmonies. The group’s quirky name has its roots in their frequent practice sessions in various Room A’s (by sheer coincidence) across town, most notably Room Armstrong of Fountain de Chopin.
Established in January 2024, Rm A stunned audience with a 9-piece first gig in April of the same year, spanning 4 languages and multiple genres.
The online registration will be open from 2 Nov (Wed) 10am on a fortnightly basis, for the coming 2-4 weeks upon the system’s update. The registration schedule is as follows:
