The event will feature music and dance performances by Bloom Dance Academy, a group of teenagers enjoying performance, an a cappella group Gay Singers, and an indie girl band WHIZZ. The Festival wishes to bring a more diverse appreciation of the arts, not only through artworks, but also through performing arts. Let’s enjoy music and dance under the sun and beach and have a wonderful afternoon together!


Performers’ Introduction:

Bloom Dance Academy

Bloom Dance Academy is a children’s dance academy that offers a variety of professional dance classes for kids aged 2 to 16 years old, including Jazz Funk and Hip-Hop etc.

Through a wide range of performance opportunities, it is hoped to cultivate the positive artistic accomplishments and self-confidence of kids.  

In previous years, the Academy led its students to participate in different types of dance performances; including TVB shooting program “Cultural Engine 4U”, Central and Western District Countdown Show for the New Year, Standard Chartered Arts in the Park, Volvo Ocean Race and Hong Kong Book Fair, etc.

Gay Singers

Recognised as “The Most Renowned A Cappella Group in Hong Kong”, Gay Singers’ members are all graduates of the Music Department, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The group aims at promoting a cappella music through concerts and the media and has been invited to perform in South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and many cities in Mainland China. 5 CDs have been published until now. They participated in numerous cross-over projects, presenting a cappella music in dramas, dance shows and symphonic concerts.

WHIZZ

WHIZZ is a band of four girls, YuShan Wong (vocalist), Moo (guitarist), Bowie Ling (bassist) and Jess Leung (drummer) from Hong Kong. They started their band at the end of March, 2019. WHIZZ’s music style is mainly Groovy Pop. They wish to use lively and light-hearted music to send out the conviction of the band which is “Time whizzes past, just listen and enjoy yourself”. WHIZZ is hoping their originals could lead the listeners away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Through music to show the good and bad sides of the world from another perspective, and let people to appreciate the beauty of reality while expressing negative emotions.
