More than 300 years ago, a Hakka couple wandered and settled in Yim Tin Tsai. Through the changes of the times, Hakka culture has long been integrated into this island. The Hakkas are good at using natural resources in their daily lives and have a close relationship with nature. Many of their cultural customs are also closely related to nature.
It is precisely because of the abundant natural resources on the island, the villagers are given the possibility to create a variety of life with local materials and to coexist harmoniously with nature.
There are different artworks in Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival that echo the Hakka culture of Yim Tin Tsai. The guided tour will lead participants to explore the traces of Hakka culture left in Yim Tin Tsai, and experience together the Hakka feelings of this island.
