Village Whisper
Beyond Vision International
Memories, like fragments of a puzzle, shape the essence of one’s being. Within the vast expanse of a city, tales of home scatter like whispers in the wind. It is only upon returning to the sanctuary of one’s abode that the memory box unfurls, revealing glimpses of the past. The team delves into the stories of Kau Sai Chau, both from the villagers and those who ventured beyond its borders. These narratives are carefully curated, presented through a mesmerising display of touchable visual elements, that bear witness to the passage of time.
Fragments of the past and present are intertwined in the same time and space, retold through the island, forming a tight network. During the Arts Festival, the installation will continue to collect and display villagers and visitors’ understanding of “home”, allowing viewers to explore the meaning of “home”.
