Visitors may pre-book kaito tickets online. Tickets sold online are on a first-come-first-served basis with limited quotas.

When making the booking, visitors may select the departure time from Sai Kung to the islands. For the island hopping trip and returning trip to Sai Kung, visitors may refer to the kaito schedules and queue at the respective pier in advance to board the kaito.

On the day of visit, visitors should pick up the physical tickets in advance at the Arts Festival Information Kiosk at the Sai Kung Promenade and will be guided by the Festival Ambassadors to board the kaito.

Visitors should keep their physical tickets properly until the end of all sectors (maximum 3). Visitors must present a valid ticket for each sector when boarding.

During the Festival period, there will be island hopping kaito services from Sai Kung Town to Yim Tin Tsai and Sharp Island (Route A) operated by the Festival. Visitors can pre-purchase island-hopping kaito tickets on this website and redeem the tickets at the Arts Festival Information Kiosk at the Sai Kung Promenade on the day of visit. If seats are still available on that day, visitors can also purchase tickets on-site. Each ticket includes three rides and is priced at HKD100. This route will also include Hap Mun Bay (Half Moon Bay) Pier.
Notes:
– The online tickets are open for sale until 18:00 the day before the departing day
– Children below 4 years old may take Route A kaito free of charge. Please show the child’s identification document when boarding the kaito

The kaito services from Sai Kung Town to Kau Sai Village and High Island is operated by Tsui Wah Ferry, which is a licensed regular service approved by the Transport Department. For details, please visit Tsui Wah Ferry website.
To support the operation of the Arts Festival, during the Arts Festival period (i.e. from 13 November 2024 to 12 January 2025), additional services will be offered from Tuesday to Fridays, with extra services on weekends and public holidays. Visitors wishing to visit Kau Sai Village and High Island during the Festival can pre-order island-hopping kaito tickets at a discounted price, which provides priority boarding.
Island Hopping Ticket Purchase and Priority Boarding Arrangement
During the Festival period, an online booking discount is available. Each ticket includes three rides and is priced at HKD160 (original price is HKD195), same price for adults and children. The online discounted tickets are open for sales until 18:00 the day before the departing day and on-site sales is not available.
Redemption of Physical Kaito Tickets and Queuing for Boarding at Sai Kung Pier
Visitors who pre-booked Route B’s discounted kaito tickets may arrive at the Arts Festival Information Kiosk at the Sai Kung Promenade on the day of visit, from 8:30am to redeem the physical kaito tickets using the e-tickets’ QR codes. To board the kaito, visitors need to present the physical kaito tickets to the operator.
Visitors who have already redeemed their tickets will be led by Arts Festival Ambassadors to board the kaito 15 minutes prior to the departure time. Therefore, visitors are advised to arrive Sai Kung much earlier to redeem the tickets. If visitors fail to arrive at the boarding pier 15 minutes before the departure time, they will lose their rights for priority boarding and will need to proceed to the Sai Kung Public Pier and queue with other visitors.
Queuing for Boarding at Kau Sai Village Pier and Leung Shuen Wan Pier
Priority boarding applies to the island hopping journeys. Route B passengers should arrive at Kau Sai Village and High Island Pier in advance and follow the instructions of the Arts Festival Ambassadors.
Other Ticket Arrangements
Regular Fare
For visitors who have not pre-booked kaito tickets online, they may go to the Sai Kung Public Pier to queue for boarding the kaito on the day of visit and pay by octopus card or cash (no change). The single trip fare is HKD65, same price for adults and children.
Government Public Transport Fare Concession Scheme for the Elderly and Eligible Persons with Disabilities ($2 Scheme)
The public kaito services between Sai Kung and Kau Sai Village/High Island offer concessionary transport fares. Elderly and eligible persons with disabilities can travel to Kau Sai Village/High Island at a concessionary fare of HKD2 per trip.
Hong Kong residents aged 60 or above must use a JoyYou Card to benefit from the $2 Scheme. Eligible persons with disabilities must use valid Personalised Octopus with “Persons with Disabilities Status” to enjoy the $2 concessionary fare. *Public may register for the programmes and guided tours that are still available for booking from the previous period. Quotas are limited and registration is open on a first-come-first-served basis. For programmes/guided tours that are already full, a waiting list with 20 quotas is available for signing up. If any successful registrants withdraw from the event, notification will be sent to registrants on the waiting list in their order of registration. They will need to confirm the registration within 24 hours upon receipt of the notification to get the place.
