If you are in love with nature and like using photos or short videos to record everything around you, we cordially invite you to join the Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival 2024 – “Joy Again, Gather” Photos and Short Videos Competition to capture the beauty of Sai Kung Hoi with a chance to win big prizes! How to join in the competition

1. Entrants must be 15 years old or above (as of 31 December 2024).

2. The photos and videos must be taken during the Festival period of SKHAF 2024, and meet the following requirements:

Photography category

– Taking photos inspired by the curatorial theme of SKHAF 2024 “Joy Again, Gather”. Entries must include elements about the SKHAF, such as artworks, programmes, events, promotional items, etc.

– Must enrol individually

– Entries must be JPEG files with a resolution of no less than 4 megapixels, file size not exceeding 8 MB

– Can be taken by cameras/mobile phones

Video category

– Shooting and editing videos inspired by the curatorial theme of SKHAF 2024 “Joy Again, Gather”. Video length no less than 1 minute and no more than 3 minutes, entries must include elements about the SKHAF, such as artworks, programmes, events, promotional items, etc.

– Can be enrolled individually or as a team (Please submit one form per team)

– Entries must be in mpeg/ mp4/ mov/ wmv/ avi, with a resolution of no less than 1280 x 720, file size not exceeding 1 GB

– Can be taken by cameras/mobile phones

3. Entries must be uploaded to wetransfer website with the link stated in the entry form. Entrants must provide the entry’s Chinese or English full title in the entry form, with description of no more than 200 Chinese or English characters. Please complete and submit the entry form by 23:59 on 1 January 2025. Incomplete information will lead to disqualification.

4. Each entrant can submit up to three entries per category. If more than three entries are submitted, the organiser will only assess the first three submitted entries, and the subsequent entries will not be considered. Each entrant will only be awarded at most once in each category (i.e. to be awarded at most once in each of the photography and video categories).

5. Awardees will be invited to attend the SKHAF2024 Finale on 12 January 2025 for prize collection and sharing.

The entries will be assessed based on the following criteria:

Result announcement

– The judging panel will select the winning entries by early January 2025 and announce the result on the SKHAF website and social media channels on 7 January 2025. Awardees will receive email and phone notifications, and will be invited to attend the prize collection ceremony at the SKHAF2024 Finale on 12 January 2025.

Terms and conditions

1. The judging panel of “Joy Again, Gather” Photos and Short Videos Competition comprises professional members from different fields and related to the Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival.

2. By entering the competition, entrants grant the organiser the authority to publish and display the submitted photos and videos on the organiser’s social media and other platforms.

3. The organiser shall not be responsible for the failure of delivery, loss or delay of submission entries caused by technical issues related to computer, network, media or any other reasons.

4. The organiser reserves full right to the competition results and the panel’s decisions are final and binding.

5. The submitted entries must be the original works of the entrant or the entrant team. By entering the competition, the entrant represents, acknowledges, and warrants that the submitted photograph/video is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the photograph/video does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, that the photograph/video does not breach the contract with any third party and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph/video, nor does the photograph/video violate any applicable law or court order. If any violation is found, the organiser reserves the right to render the entrant ineligible for the competition.

6. The awardees will receive email and phone notifications after the competition result announcement, and will be invited to attend the prize collection ceremony at the SKHAF2024 Finale on 12 January 2025. If the organiser is unable to reach the awardee two days after the competition result announcement, an alternate awardee will be selected. If entrants have not received any notifications by 10 January 2025, the entry can be deemed as not selected.

7. If there is any inconsistency or ambiguity between the Chinese and English versions, the English version shall prevail.
